Fall is finally here, which means it’s time to get fall family photos done! Jennifer Anderson Photography has been photographing fall family photos for over 10 years and has seen all the different trends come and go. We have put together this blog post to help you prepare for your fall session so that you can have a successful photo shoot.
– fall colors! This means reds, oranges, yellows and browns. These are great fall colors for clothing as well as the background of your photos. If you’re looking for a color scheme that’s both rustic and elegant, try using the colors in this article to their full potential.Avoid mixing greens or blues with these fall hues; it’ll make them look worse than they already do. Try wearing darker fall colors if you want a fall classic look (not black). If it’s the fall, there is no reason why you can’t wear layers! They give your outfits more depth and dimension while also keeping you warm during those brisk fall days.
– a fall family photo shoot is done outside in the fall foliage, so be sure you dress for the weather. Bring hats and gloves if it’s chilly out! If it rains that day, we will reschedule your fall family photos at no additional cost to you or we can shoot indoors in our private studio.
-be sure to wear clothes that are comfortable (it will show on your face if you’re not), and bring an extra change of clothing in case your fall session gets messy!
– bring scarves or ties for everyone in the family
-don’t forget jewelry and other basic accessories
-we will walk around to several different fall foliage backgrounds for your fall photos. It’s best if the kids don’t run too much during our time together because it can be hard to catch them looking good in between all of that running and laughing! Also we want to be able to capture your fall family photos from all angles.
-Jennifer Anderson Photography is a mom of four and knows how kids can get during fall sessions! We will do everything we can so that you have a successful fall family photo shoot experience!
-the session will last approximately an hour
. We will go through a fall family photo shoot with your whole family first, then the children, and you as a couple and other breakdowns last.
Your fall family photos will be available for you to view in studio about a week after your fall session.
– please bring water bottles and snacks! We’ll have plenty of time in between shots, so don’t worry about rushing the kids.
We hope this blog post gives you the tips and advice needed for fall family photos. If you have any fall questions, don’t hesitate to contact Jennifer Anderson Photography at team@jenandersonphoto.com or call us today!
